Everything was going just fine till time to leave the house. I go out
open the garage door and get in the car,
back out, garage door down. Oh crap
today is landscapers and I did not leave a check.
Pull back into driveway and write check. Get out going leave it under
the mat and remember Oh Crap
I have to go take the lock off the
gate. Pull back into garage and close garage door (so dog does not get out) and go back into house. Now the dog is excited because I am back. I go to take the lock off the back gate and
remember Oh Crap
the dog can't be here on landscape day, (she has a doggie
door and I am afraid she will get out if they leave the fence open)
Go back in house and call Doggie Day Care to see if it is ok I bring her in.
Sure….now I go and load the dog in the car
and lock up the house and set to leave Oh crap
forgot to take the bag of garbage to the alley, oh well throw it in the car I will dump it at work.
Pull out of garage, lower garage door….Oh crap
left my sunglasses on top of
the washer. Raise garage door again, grab sunglasses, lower door and get back in car we are finally on our way with dog
in tow. By the way I just had the car detailed and it looked so good but now I need to add clean dog drool from car
windows to my to do list.
We are just getting on the freeway up to 65 mph and approaching a section where there is a on ramp merging
onto the freeway I am on and an exit ramp about a mile ahead, The car in front of me is starting to slow down just a
bit so I am thinking at some point she is going to merge over to take the off ramp so I take my foot off the gas and CRAP she come to a dead stop, I slam on
the brakes and nearly throw the dog to the front seat with me. I am honking, cussing, swearing, hand gesturing
etc. She sees a break in the oncoming lane and changes lanes (NEVER HAD A BLINKER ON)
I look over a her while passing and of course she is on the phone. It took everything I had not to cut her off
and slam on my brakes (then when she hits me it is her fault) so I could get out and clock her one! ![]()
Ok we are back up to speed again, the dog is hanging out the window ear flapping in the wind, drooling all
over the side of the car and doing the hound dog howl to let everyone know to look at her riding in the car. All of the
sudden I get a strong wiff…dear god in heaven WHAT is in that trash bag!
I have 18 miles to go before I get to Doggie Day care I am thinking I am going to puke!
Drop off at Day Care, her friend Roxy is there (cutest 5 month old Bassett Puppy in the world) and I continue on to work…lets see how the rest of this day will play out……..
